Join Abhishek Kandar, a Veteran Technology Leader, on His EMBA Admission Journey at Kellogg School of Management.

Abhishek Kandar, a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in enterprise and technology industry, reveals the unwavering support that has been instrumental in his journey.

Currently serving as the Vice President, Global Clients Services at Trimble, Inc; leading diverse teams world-wide and managing multiple P&Ls of Professional Services, Learning & Enablement, Customer Support and Onboarding (CSMs).  Abhishek’s career has been marked by leadership and expertise.

Abhishek’s impressive professional journey has taken him through key positions at Informatica, LoganBritton, and Cognizant, where he made significant contributions and gained invaluable experience. In his current role at Trimble, he oversees critical functions, including professional services, customer success, and support on a global scale. His strategic leadership has been fundamental in driving growth and profitability, underpinned by innovative solutions and a customer-centric approach.

Abhishek’s aspirations for pursuing an Executive MBA (EMBA) stem from a desire for a broader management experience. He seeks to expand his expertise in areas such as finance, corporate governance, and marketing, recognizing the importance of a well-rounded general management foundation. His aspirations soar beyond what his remarkable track record indicates.

Abhishek’s meeting with Admissions Gateway was a turning point in his EMBA journey. He acknowledges that his counselor’s guidance and strategic advice played a crucial role in crafting a compelling application that vividly conveyed his story, experience and ambitions. The assistance and flexibility provided by Admissions Gateway were vital contributors to his success. Abhishek views an EMBA as not just a degree, but a path to personal and professional growth. It’s about pushing one’s limits and preparing for top leadership roles, in alignment with his long-term vision of becoming the CEO of a mid or large-sized company.

Abhishek’s advice to Executive MBA aspirants is deeply rooted in his own experience: “It’s never too late.” He emphasizes the importance of setting clear goals and building a framework to achieve them, regardless of one’s career stage. Establishing a strong support network, thorough consideration of work responsibilities, and placing a premium on the quest for knowledge are crucial stages in this endeavor. His journey reminds us that the pursuit of lifelong goals can be immensely fulfilling, transcending any self-imposed restrictions related to responsibilities, busy schedules, or age.

Abhishek mentions that the path he had taken demanded dedication and resilience, but his family stood by his side. Living away from home in India he lacked the traditional family support system. It was just him, his wife, 8-year-old son, and three furry babies (dogs). As he ventured into the world of higher education, he came to understand the pivotal importance of having the appropriate support system.

The question that echoed in his mind was, “Do I have the key support system?” It is a question that every aspiring EMBA candidate should ask themselves because without the proper support, success might remain elusive.

But his journey didn’t end with just family support; he needed to ensure his employers were onboard as well. Balancing a demanding job with an EMBA program was no easy feat. He knew that dedicating more than 40 hours a week to work would not be sustainable if he wanted to excel in a top-notch B-school.

Abhishek Kandar’s story is a testament to how humble life choices can lead to significant leaps in one’s career and pave the way for overarching ambitions. His career, aspirations, and advice inspire us to believe that, with the right strategy and unwavering determination, we can achieve our dreams. Here’s to Abhishek’s journey and the heights he will continue to reach!
