Breaking Barriers and Building Dreams: Megha Tiwari's Inspiring Journey to an MBA with Admissions Gateway

“I call myself a first-generation technologist”. A story of taking a stand for fulfilling your aspirations and never giving up, Megha Tiwari is pursuing her MBA at one of the world’s top-notch business schools. Her journey is nothing short of incredible, fueled by her unwavering determination, insatiable curiosity, and an unyielding pursuit of excellence.

Megha Tiwari’s journey towards pursuing an MBA was characterized by her unwavering determination and relentless pursuit of her aspirations. She hailed from a small town in Rajasthan, where societal norms often favored men, but her story was about breaking barriers and striving for excellence. Megha proudly refers to herself as a first-generation technologist because, in her family, no woman had ever been allowed to complete high school, let alone pursue a college degree. Determined to chart her own path in the fields of education and technology, she made a bold departure from tradition.

From an early age, Megha displayed an innate fascination with technology, whether it was a phone or a walkman. This inherent curiosity acted as the propelling force behind her decision to pursue engineering at the NIT, Jaipur. This marked the beginning of her journey, yet her yearning for more, to reach greater heights, burned ardently within her.

Upon obtaining her engineering degree, Megha set her sights on the corporate world. She joined Sony Corporation and embarked on various digital transformation endeavors within the operations division. During this phase, Megha’s perspective underwent a significant shift.

Working closely with operations, Megha became captivated by the intricacies of comprehending a customer’s thought process. This newfound fascination guided her to Sony PlayStation, where she played a pivotal role in enhancing interaction between gamers and their favorite games. Her impact extended to boosting the share of Sony Pictures movies and spearheading innovations in educational technology, culminating in a patent in the United States that held the potential to benefit nearly 80,000 educators and students.

However, as seven years transpired in her thriving tech career, Megha recognized that to achieve her broader ambitions, she needed a deeper understanding of the business world. This realization prompted her to pursue an MBA, a decision that required rigorous GMAT preparation.

In the face of the admissions challenge, Megha embarked on a quest to identify the right support system. She recalls, “While I was searching for consultants who could aid me in securing admissions, after just one call with Admissions Gateway, I knew this was the perfect fit for me. The aspect that resonated with me was their genuine interest in me as an individual, rather than merely a revenue source.” Little did she anticipate that this personalized touch, combined with their expert guidance, would prove transformative.

Megha’s GMAT score opened doors to some of the world’s premier business schools, including Duke and Ross. However, it was Ross, initially not on her radar, that emerged as her prime choice, courtesy of timely advice from the AG team. With the unwavering support of Admissions Gateway, Megha successfully secured admission to Ross—a triumph that had once seemed distant and improbable.
